We build more than just new spaces, we build relationships, one happy client at a time. 

When the company started a dozen years ago, we specialized in unique lofts and living spaces but have since graduated to full-house renovation as well as new construction. We are also currently renovating nightclubs and bars, restaurants and cafes, sound studios and other small to mid-size commercial projects. A few noteworthy items:

SAM WAINWRIGHT
Owner/Operator

Sam aspires to deliver the best quality renovation and building services in the Vancouver area, while enhancing the lives of every person involved in the renovation and building process. As the sole owner of Refine & Design, Sam’s main role is that of business development and client liaison. For the last 20 years he’s been at the helm of his own businesses, the last 12 with the construction company he feels such pride in owning. He believes deeply in honest business practices and feels there is a solution to every problem.

His unique ability to understand a client’s vision and steer them towards exciting and affordable solutions is one of the most rewarding aspects of his job. He possesses a keen sense of design and enjoys leading and inspiring other professionals to strive for excellence.

Sam believes in surrounding himself with other inspiring entrepreneurs, always eager to learn better systems as he grows the internal infrastructure of his company. A graduate from BCIT’s Business Management Program & Project Management, he credits most of his success with the right combination of initiative and experience, believing life and work to be the best teachers. He fosters a supportive team environment and creates great friendships from his valued list of repeat clients.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Sam is surrounded by a large network of family and friends. He and his wife Dannie live in Yaletown with their dog, Sola. He loves to travel, surf and snowboard whenever he gets the opportunity.
